Mitacs: Proven Partner in International Innovation
Mitacs is a Canadian national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs for 18 years. The Mitacs Innovation Network, consisting of companies, universities, researchers, is a unique platform that provides students to be integrated into the broader innovation community. This webinar will provide an overview of Mitacs programmatic offerings, with a focus on the international mobility opportunities offered through the Mitacs Globalink program. The discussion will also outline some of the domestic programs offered by Mitacs and opportunities for prospective participants residing outside Canada.

Brian Kalakula is an International Relations Officer at Mitacs, a national not-for-profit organization that supports research and innovation projects involving academia and the private-sector. Brian works with the Vice-President of National Partnerships and the Vice-President of International Partnerships to support Mitacs’ partnership strategy with governments and academic institutions across Canada and in partner countries.
Prior to joining Mitacs, Brian worked in the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona, conducting judicial review research for Arizona Superior Court judges.
Brian has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Arizona State University, and a Master of Arts (Political Economy for International Development) from the University of Toronto.
