ThinkSwiss is a program that aims to strengthen cooperation in science, technology and higher education between Switzerland and the United States and Canada. These opportunities are open to outstanding students in all fields with an interest in conducting research or participating in a summer school course in Switzerland.
Research Scholarships support highly motivated and qualified U.S. and Canadian undergraduate and graduate students to gain research experience at a public university or research institute in Switzerland. This program provides a monthly scholarship of CHF 1,600 (approx. USD 1,650) for a period of 2 to 3 months (CHF 4,800 maximum), which covers the majority of the average student’s living costs.
Summer School Travel Grants are offered to U.S. and Canadian participants who will benefit from hands-on research, training and exposure to cutting-edge issues within a professional research community. The selection of all participants is done by each of several Swiss summer schools. Please apply directly to the individual program.
