The U.S.-Southeast Asia-Japan Collaboration and Exchange is designed to connect scholars from the United States, Japan and Southeast Asia to enhance collective scholarship and enhance Japanese studies in these three regions. To this end, the foundation provides grants to U.S. undergraduates to lead a project connected with a Japanese university. Candidates must be enrolled at a U.S. university.
